Sense of Place - Artist Statement.
I chose Main Street Bismarck, in Bismarck North Dakota as my subject. I used this assignment to capture a selection of my favorite parts of Main street. I grew up in Bismarck-Mandan and Main Street played a big part in my teenage years. Included in my contact sheet is Rhythm Records, the first place I ever played a show at. My four prints show Rhythm Records' iconic label, An inside view of a thrift store, a shot of the Dakota Stage Playhouse (Where I performed acting at), and a print of our local Scotty’s. I love Dinners with a passion. This collection was a glimpse at some of my life story.
